DOKSURI (EGAY) NOW A MAJOR TYPHOON, SIGNAL 2 ALREADY IN EFFECT...

Typhoon Doksuri, also known as "Egay" in the Philippines, rapidly gained strength and is currently a Major Category 3 Typhoon. Egay is predicted to intensify to a Category 4 Super Typhoon by 8:00 p.m. tonight, and is predicted to make landfall over #Isabela in the following 24 to 36 hours.

The weather is predicted to rapidly deteriorate today in the #NCR, #EasternVisayas, and the remainder of #Luzon.

In #MIMAROPA, #WesternVisayas, and #CentralVisayas, where flood warnings and alerts have been issued, the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is anticipated to bring strong and persistent rains.

Then, when it nears Southern #China for its final landfall, Egay is predicted to keep moving and reappear over the Luzon Strait as it strengthens once more to a Category 4 Super Typhoon.
